With Cheltenham fast approaching 'students of the turf' are swotting hard in advance of a festival that has the potential to pay for their summer holiday or alternatively, leave them on a diet of bread and water for an extended period.
All students need teachers and an expert panel was assembled for last Friday night's 'Cheltenham Preview' in The Rathcormac Inn – an event organised by 'Friends Of Denis Barry' with proceeds being divided between the 'Friends Of Denis Barry Fund' and the 'Irish Injured Jockeys' Fund'.
Former publican and one of the main organisers of Bartlemy Horse Fair, Denis Barry was in attendance.
