The first steps of a major refurbishment at St Colman’s College in Fermoy are due to commence in January, starting with the refurbishment and replacement of the roof over the original school building.

Commencing on Monday, January 12th, the refurbishment is projected to take around 17 months and will involve the restoration and replacement of the original building’s roof, which dates from 1858.

“It’s a significant time for the school to be finally restoring the amazing building and improving the comfort of the school. It’s the first step towards a huge improvement in the school facilities,” principal of St Colman’s College, Sean Lane told The Avondhu.
