Children from all over Munster gathered at Lynch Army Camp in Kilworth on Saturday last, December 13th, to meet the great man himself and Mrs Claus, along with many of his elves, and Mickey and Minnie Mouse.

Emergency services and volunteer organisations that attended on Saturday certainly put on a display for the children. There were members from the Defence Forces, An Garda Síochána, Garda Dog Unit, Fermoy Fire Brigade, Mitchelstown Fire Brigade, Blackwater Search and Rescue, the Irish Coastguard, The National Ambulance Service, Civil Defence from north and east Cork, along with Munster Lowland Search Dogs.

The event was the brainchild of Sergeant Roger Lyons of Mitchelstown Garda Station, who along with an army of volunteers and family organise the very successful Santa at The Strand Experience in Lismore, Co Waterford, a Santa experience inclusive for all.
