Pupils from Presentation Secondary School, Mitchelstown and neighbouring CBS Secondary, pooled their resources to stage ‘POPSTARS The Musical’ in Mitchelstown last weekend.
The show attracted capacity crowds, with teachers, fellow pupils, parents and supporters of those on stage, all impressed by the talent, enthusiasm and energy of the young performers.
A spectacle of this scale doesn’t happen over night and countless hours were devoted to a finished product that looked and sounded really professional. Credit for overseeing such a lavish production goes to teachers, Ciara Murray, Winnie Fitzgerald, Sean English and Fiona Garvey – Ciara was the show’s musical director.
