Rathcormac FC was founded less than two months ago. Progress has been rapid and community support in the Cork village is incredibly strong.
However, before the fledgling club can really start to grow, founder Mark Roddis has encountered one major obstacle; the club has no pitch.
“It really is the last piece of the puzzle that we need to fall into place,” Mr Roddis said, adding that practically everything else hangs on acquiring a piece of land that the club can call home.
