Raffle proceeds to aid Dean’s treatment

Dean Murphy is very special young man and is the proud holder of no less than 3 gold medals which he won at the Special Olympics in Limerick in 2010.

A cheque for €640, the proceeds of a raffle held in The Wagon Tavern on Tursday night last, was presented to Aisling Murphy, Castlelyons who accepted it on behalf of her brother Dean Murphy to help with the cost of his treatment as it entails travelling to Dublin on a regular basis. Dean is very special young man and is the proud holder of no less than 3 gold medals which he won at the Special Olympics in Limerick in 2010.

The organisers, Catheriona Drislane and Chrissie Sheedy, would like to thank Tom Aherne of The Wagon Tavern for the kind gesture, all those who bought tickets and particularly all who contributed prizes for the raffle.
