The Kildorrery Community Development Committee are opening their doors, figuratively speaking, for fundraising this Friday, and are calling on all members of the community to join in to get works on the new Community Hall over the finish line.

The Community Hall, located in the old Creamery Building, began redevelopment in June 2021. Closed in the 2000s, it was resurrected as The Creamery Yard Cottage Market in March 2017. It’s next metamorphosis is as a Community Hall, a not-for-profit enterprise for the whole community to use.

The Community Development Group bought the site after the creamery’s closure, and the first work completed at the site was a public car park. Since then, water collection tanks for use in the nearby allotments line the wall behind the old creamery shed.
