
Amy May Flynn from Glanworth – a second year social care student in CIT – is to undertake the long trip to Kathmandu in Nepal as a volunteer.
Amy May will help the elderly and youth as part of the EIL-Intercultural learning programme.
Amy updated The Avondhu this week, saying her flights have been booked going out from Dublin to Kathmandu on the first week of June, with a stopover in Abu Dhabi.
Her immunisation programme is now nearing completion and on this Saturday, April 22nd she will attend a day-long pre-departure course in Dublin, informing her about the upcoming trip.
