Dog fouling bins are expected to be installed in Pike Road and Duntaheen Road in Fermoy, hopefully before Christmas, following on from a motion by Councillor Noel McCarthy in a recent Fermoy Area Electoral Committee meeting.
RESPONSIBILITY KEY
He said that dog fouling is a huge issue and that these roads are very popular for walking, so there is a real need for the bins. Cllr McCarthy added that he would ask dog owners to be responsible and to clean up after their dogs, but in order to encourage this, the proper facilities need to be put in place.
