Mitchelstown farmer Edward Quinn has been farming with 100 ewes since he was 18-years-old, and this week has marked the birth of quintuplet lambs.
The Vendeen ewe had five Texel lambs last weekend, having been only predicted to produce four.
“The ewe was scanned and there was four there but she was very heavy so I thought she was having big lambs. She started lambing and after the fourth I left other legs.
“I was expecting her to have four, we never had five, it was surprise for us,” he said.
