There are five top class acts in the line-up for this year’s ‘Fermoy Goes Country’ coming up in Fitzgerald Park, the home of Fermoy GAA on the town’s northside on Sunday, 20th August.
Simply mention the name ‘Mike Denver’ and immediately, interest is aroused. One of Galway’s favourite sons, Mike Denver is riding the crest of a wave with a vast audience base throughout Ireland and now, making inroads in the UK following a number of sellout concerts in England and Scotland over the past couple of years, that fan base keeps on growing.
To date, Mike has had 15 hit albums and 5 DVD’s. With his excellent backing band, Mike will have you clapping along in Fermoy’s Fitzgerald Park with hits such as ‘Tommy K’, ‘Wasn’t That a Party’, ‘Galway Girl’ and ‘Blown Away’ to anme just a few along with well known hits from the 60’s and 70’s.
Now add the ‘Dolly’ look-alike Cliona Hagan, Bansha lass Louise Morrissey, the evergreen Brendan Shine and one of the country’s top one-man bands Declan Aungier and it won’t take much persuading to know that ‘Fermoy Goes Country’ is the place to be on Sunday, August 20th.
Make sure to secure your ticket in good time. Tickets are available locally from: Shinnick’s Spar, Fermoy; Marela’s Fermoy and Barnes’ Jewellers, Fermoy or by logging on to www.gr8events.ie/fermoygoescountry2023.
