All loved up in Conna

Promoted as ‘a massive Marymount fundraiser in Conna’, last Saturday’s Valentine’s night dance more than lived up to its billing by attracting a 500 strong crowd to the local community centre.

Following on from the success of last year, the event once again resonated with the public as people dug deep to assist a great cause, while at the same time, honouring the memory of local woman, Catherine Spillane.

As was the case 12 months ago, organisers put in a massive effort ensuring this would be a Valentine’s night to remember. Going on what we saw last Saturday, the public have retained their fondness for the chicken supper, which was, once again on the menu. Responsibility for preparing and serving the main course rested with Mary Lou Catering who were on site from 5pm. Thanks to their expertise, the chicken and chips was wonderfully presented.
