Leaving Certificate results were released online last Friday, with many students across the country checking their results from the comfort of their homes from 10am.
In Loreto Secondary School, Fermoy, students excelled with 36% achieving over 500 points in their State exams, seven of whom achieved over 600 points.
Four students, Martha Cosgrove, Sinead Murphy, Grainne Branagh and Katie O’Flynn, scored an incredible 625 points, the maximum number of points available, while three students, Hannah Fenton, Moya Keane and Caitlin Duffy, scored 613 points.
Speaking with The Avondhu, principal Orla Forde said that she was ‘delighted’ with the results and ‘absolutely thrilled’ for the students.
