Shannon Brennan, Miss South Tipp and Miss Ireland finalist, returned home to Tipperary on Monday without the national crown, but nonetheless beaming for the experience.

The Skeheenarinky lady, who has spent her reign embarking on charity initiatives during the last year, spoke to The Avondhu about what’s next for a former Miss Ireland finalist.

“It’s bittersweet. I’m delighted to have taken part, and I loved the experience, but this chapter has come to a natural end for me. A lot of people are asking me would I I do it again, but I don’t really know if I’d want to.

“I really enjoyed this, and I know lots who would do it a second time, but I wanted to do it for an experience, and I did that and thoroughly enjoyed it, so I don’t think I would do it again.”
