Two of the newly installed toilets in Lismore were broken to pieces shortly after being replaced in a recent upgrade to the public facility.

Waterford City and County Council confirmed that an act of vandalism occurred at the public toilets, citing an estimated cost of damage as €400.

“The toilets remain open, however two toilet bowl units were damaged and remain out of order.  The units will be replaced within the coming days,” a spokesperson said.
