Limerick road warehouses granted planning following appeal

Planning for the construction of three warehouse units in the Garrane (Gurrane) area of Mitchelstown has recently been granted permission by An Coimisiún Pleanála (formerly An Bord Pleanála), with a number of conditions.

The development, originally submitted to Cork County Council by Nocsy 4 Limited, was brought before the board in a third-party appeal by the Limerick Road Residents’ Association.

Originally, the application sought the construction of three warehouse units with ancillary office and staff facilities – warehouses extend to 8,550sqm, 11,973sqm and 6,691sqm in gross floor area respectively,.

The application involves the demolition of two agricultural sheds, provision of pedestrian and vehicular entrances, with 163 car parking spaces, including EV and accessible parking, along with 144 bicycle parking spaces, and associated site works.
