
A major enhancement and expansion of the facilities at Castlelyons GAA grounds is expected to get underway soon.
Club personnel, who in the past three years have already significantly enhanced their offerings to members and the community, are expecting works to get underway on a new fully-lit and fenced all-weather pitch, a toilet block and store-room and hurling wall, by mid to late September.
According to Communications Officer, Kieran McGann, the new 80mx40m all-weather pitch will be located on the Abbeylands side of the club grounds, in neighbouring lands purchased some years ago to allow for the expansion, where recent years have also seen developments getting underway.
