Already well established in the nation's bookshops, Christy Dorgan's best selling publication 'Irish Birds - Their Nests & Eggs' will soon be available in Cork's county libraries.

Christy handed over a consignment of books to Fermoy librarian, Liz Desmond, last week who was delighted with the acquisition.

2014 has brought with it more orders for a book that's gradually winging its way around the world - some of the country's top tourist attractions are now stocking the bird book which appeals to visitors who are looking for something a bit more inspiring than Leprechauns and shillelaghs.

A man who has his ear to the ground and his eyes scanning upwards to keep tabs on our feathered friends, Christy is able to report that pairs of re-introduced sea eagles in Cork, Kerry, Connemara and Lough Derg are all doing splendidly. The news is also positive regarding the fortunes of the Golden Eagles in Donegal.
