Residents of Beechfield Estate in Fermoy said that they are ‘fed up’ with illegal dumping at the bring-banks near the estate.
Illegal dumping at the site, residents state, has been ongoing for years, with materials, a lot of which are entirely unsuitable for the bring-banks, frequently dumped on site.
In the past year alone instances include multiple bags of domestic waste, children’s car seats, suitcases, buggies, televisions, a go cart, rugs and more. In one instance, 12 full black bin bags were dumped by the clothing banks, while another incident saw two broken TVs along with three bin bags full of clothes and a shopping bag full of household waste, dumped there.
