Bride Rovers Ladies Football & Camogie Club cater for a variety of age groups, ranging from juveniles to the ‘mothers and others’ group (comprising those who engage in non competitive games). Keeping all these teams on the road comes with a formidable price tag – as a result, there’s no let up in fundraising activites.

In recent times, one of the club’s most important and financially successful fundraisers is the annual road race, which took place on Friday evening last.

In total, 250 runners took their place at the start line and there was a 100% completion rate. The 4 mile course was a good test for runners and there was little in the way of complaint regarding the chosen route.

As is now the norm in all road races, chip timing was in operation.
