There were some very happy golfers at Mitchelstown Golf Club as they enjoy their first rounds this week after the Level 5 lockdown. As restrictions were eased earlier this week, several regulars took to the greens.
Club member Ben Lynch was wrapped up warm on a cold Wednesday morning, but spoke of his happiness to be back on the greens.
“We are delighted to be back out and playing. It is such a shame to have to close a golf course, but we have to acknowledge that the restrictions must be complied with.
“Our thoughts for the future are fairly positive from a golfing perspective …”
