
A planning permission extension for a development of 31 new houses in Glanworth has been granted by Cork County Council, after issues with the village’s wastewater treatment plant and planned upgrades saw significant delays to the development.
While Uisce Éireann had claimed upgrades to the local WWTP would be completed by 2019, thus far, only 13 homes within the proposed 31-house development have been granted connection to services.
Submitted by PC Quality Homes, the planning application sought to extend the planning period for the development which includes access onto Main Street and the Fermoy Road, with parking, drainage, landscaping and amenity areas.
