O’Callaghan ‘Unbroken’ and set for challenging World Cup

At just 22 years of age, Oisín O’Callaghan has already cemented his place as a legendary talent for Irish downhill racing. Known also as “Double O,” the Ardpatrick native is not only Ireland’s first rider to wear the rainbow jersey in a mountain bike discipline, but also the country’s first-ever Elite Downhill World Cup winner, when he became a Junior World champion in 2020. 

Currently ranked 8th in the world, Oisin has taken the next major step in his career by signing with Trek Unbroken DH. After five years racing at the top level, he now joins one of the most respected and performance driven teams in the sport, who he will be racing with when he competes at this year’s Downhill World Cup, which will see the county Limerick native compete from South Korea to Italy to New York. 

Regarding his move to Trek Unbroken, Oisin spoke to The Avondhu, relaying his delight.
