Despite the damp and dreary weather, a large crowd of people made their way to Glanworth on Sunday for a fitting tribute to the men and women of 1916, as the garden of remembrance was unveiled.
Speaking on behalf of Glanworth Community Council, Pauline O’Dwyer welcomed everyone on the day, saying that it was a momentous occasion for Glanworth and she thanked everyone who contributed in any way to the centenary celebration.
