Glanfest 2026 set to light up Glanworth this May bank holiday weekend

Excitement is building in Glanworth as preparations for Glanfest 2026 move into full swing, with organisers promising another unforgettable May bank holiday weekend packed with music, sport, family activities and community spirit.

This year’s festival already boasts a fantastic live music line-up across two nights. Kicking things off on Saturday, May 2nd, festivalgoers can enjoy performances from Honeycomb, followed by 3 Buachaillí, with Riff Shop taking the stage late into the night. Music continues on Sunday, May 3rd, with Strings & Things, the ever-popular Super Céilí, and Deuces Wild rounding off the weekend in style.

The poster accompanying this article highlights the confirmed weekend music line-up, with organisers also confirming that the Friday night line-up will be announced shortly.

But Glanfest is about much more than music. A wide range of events is planned throughout the weekend to ensure something for everyone. Families can look forward to a lively Family Fun Day, while sporting highlights include the always-competitive 7-a-side tournaments and the Mothers & Others Blitz. There will also be a BBQ, a Farmers Market, and a Monster Raffle with great prizes up for grabs. A great surprise act for children on Sunday is also set to be announced – so families are encouraged to watch this space.

Organisers are also delighted to welcome Mitchelstown Credit Union on board for a second year supporting Glanfest, continuing their valued backing of this growing community event.

Sports fans won’t miss a moment of the action either, with a big screen showing all the major GAA matches across the weekend.

To make the weekend even more accessible, a late-night taxi service will operate to help festivalgoers travel safely to and from the venue.

With entertainment for all ages and a strong community atmosphere guaranteed, Glanfest continues to grow as one of the standout weekends in the local calendar.

Tickets will be on sale shortly, with more information to follow in the coming weeks.
