A new major development strategy will be launched next week to bring Mitchelstown into the modern era when the umbrella group The Forum, will release their Community Plan 2019-2023 on Monday night.
According to Cllr Kay Dawson, who was involved in drawing up the strategy, ‘it could revolutionise life in the town’.
She said having identified the town’s strengths and weaknesses, now it is the time to action on those findings.
“Some of the pieces can be done by our local groups, but others will be done by outside bodies such as the HSE, the Council or Irish Water.
