
Fermoy’s Hayden Supple has made a grand return to handball, closing out a spectacular season by claiming the U21 60×30 All-Ireland singles title.
A third-generation handballer, Hayden struck gold in the recent finals, battling it out against Galway’s Mikey Kelly, who Supple said was a ‘tough’ competitor.
“I had multiple opponents to play coming up to the final. I had a very tough Kilkenny opponent in the semi-final. Obviously, the final then, Galway’s Mikey Kelly. I’ve played him multiple times in juveniles, where he beat me. He’s an All-Ireland champion, world champion,” he said.
