This week, in Fermoy, a small group of locals erected a billboard, featuring some of the town’s frontline workers, as a way to recognise their service and bravery over the last number of weeks.

The billboard, which is owned by JCDecaux, is situated towards the end of Oliver Plunkett Hill in Fermoy, at the intersection with Allen’s Walk, and it covers the gable end of the O’Lochlainn family house.

Donal O’Lochlainn, his wife Edna English, and their son Ross had the idea of mounting a ‘thank you’ message on the billboard, and approached JCDecaux about the idea.
