Fermoy Primary Care Centre, located at Mill Island, is now fully operational in most services with some 18 healthcare professionals currently on site and more to follow.
Since Christmas, rapid progress has been made on site, and this week, a spokesperson for Cork Kerry Community Healthcare confirmed that a number of services are now fully operational at the new facility.
“Fermoy Primary Care Centre is fully operational for public health nursing, school nursing, community medical officer, dietetic and podiatry services at this time. There are currently 18 healthcare professionals on-site, with more to follow.
“Other services such as dental services, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech & language therapy will commence service provision, as soon as essential equipment is on-site,” the spokesperson said.
