The Fermoy Christmas Lights Committee are cracking on with Christmas at a slightly earlier date this year.
Committee members have confirmed that the lights start to go up on November 2, and will take the electricians three weeks solid to get all the lights up and ready to go.
Joe Corcoran, Fermoy Christmas Lights Committee member, said that he believes if everyone pulls together, we can all look forward to a great Christmas.
While the committee is aware that 2020 has been a terrible year for families, businesses, individuals and the community at large, fundraising efforts for the lights continue.
“People that are away from Fermoy, or people that can’t make it home for Christmas or that are living abroad, we’re asking that they might contribute this year …”
