Shock has greeted the news that Farrell’s Centra, Mitchelstown is to close with the loss of 18 jobs – full-time and part-time.
The announcement was made by Seán Farrell last week as staff members were told they will receive redundancy payments.
The shop has been trading since 1988, initially under the management of John and Margaret Ryan.
