Revised plans for Section 38 works for Doneraile go to public consultation on Thursday of this week. The proposed plans are available to view online on the Cork County Council website at www.Corkcoco.ie.
The revised plans were brought before council members at this week’s Fermoy Municipal District meeting with some changes made to plans after Doneraile residents and business people spoke out about the proposed works following the presentation of the initial plans at last month’s meeting.
Initial plans were contested by locals and business people who claimed at the time that there was little or no communication from the council regarding such plans, with parking being highlighted as a key issue.
Locals called for ‘open discussion and transparency’ on the matter, asking when the plans would be put to the residents of Doneraile.
