Jury deliberations are now underway as the trial of murder-accused Richard Satchwell continues this week. The 56-year-old has pleaded ‘not guilty’ to the murder of Fermoy native, Tina Satchwell (nee Dingivan), whose remains were discovered at their home in Youghal, in October 2023, almost seven years after Tina was reported missing.
Having given directions earlier in the week to the jury of seven women and five men, Justice Paul McDermott sent them out shortly after 3pm on Tuesday to begin considering their verdict.
On Wednesday, the jury deliberated further, for some four and a half hours before again being sent home, as the trial continues into its fifth week.
