Fermoy Gardaí have put out an appeal for motorists to ‘consider other road users when parking’.
This follows after Fermoy Community Policing observed a car parked on a pedestrian crossing on Emmet Street in the town on Wednesday last, September 22. It is understood that the car had parked there during school rush hours.
“At this time, hundreds of students from nearby schools pass here to catch a bus, or walk safely home. Please consider other road users when parking. Saving yourself a couple of seconds walking puts others at risk, and will cost you €40,” a Garda spokesperson pointed out.
