Cian making waves in the world of architecture

Ballyhooly native Cian O'Mahony, who is currently residing in Sydney, receiving his award for 2nd place in the IOC, IPC, IAKS Worldwide Awards for Architecture at the ceremony which was held in The Koelnmesse Exhibition and Trade Centre in Cologne.

A young upcoming architect whose roots lie in Ballyhooly, has been named amongst the best in the world in his profession, being recently announced as a second-place award winner in the IOC, IPC, IAKS worldwide awards for architecture.

Held recently in Cologne, Germany, Cian O’Mahony was announced as an award winner under the category ‘Architecture and Design Award for Students and Young Professionals’ for his project, ‘Between Borders’, focusing on a pedestrian bridge park in Waterford.

A former student of Coláiste an Chraoibhín in Fermoy, Cian studied and graduated with a qualification in Architecture from SETU, Waterford and now resides far away in Sydney, Australia.
