A several hundred-strong crowd gathered in Ballylanders GAA complex on Monday night to welcome home captain Cathy Mee and members of the All-Ireland winning Limerick junior ladies football team.

The occasion was extra special for Cathy and fellow Ballylanders players, Caoimhe Clancy and sisters, Aine and Clodagh McGrath – the neighbouring football stronghold of Anglesboro/Kilbehenny (Galtee Gaels) was represented by Shelly Walsh and Grainne Cronin.

The loudest cheer of the evening was reserved for captain, Cathy Mee, whose commitment and work ethic is an inspiration to those around her.

During her interview with Matt, Cathy said her team-mates were ‘a fantastic bunch’.
