Amarenco Solar has been granted planning permission for a solar farm in the Castlelyons area.
Cork County Council has recently granted the 10-year permission, subject to 36 conditions, to Amarenco Solar Rathcormac Limited for the solar farm consisting of solar photovoltaic panels on ground mounted frames.
The development is to be situated across sites at Corrin, Kill Saint Anne North, Clykeel North, Ballinvarrig East, Ballimnvarrig West, Deerpark, Knockaduff, Kill Saint Anne South, Ballyarra, Mohera, and Spuree, Castlelyons.
