Well there’s one corner of West Waterford in danger of losing its post office and this week, Cappoquin postmaster John Murphy, has appealed to locals to use their local post office more regularly amidst fears of its closure.
Mr Murphy reached out online on Monday announcing new changes to payments.
“Unfortunately some payments are remaining to be paid fortnightly and this is having a detrimental effect on the future of post offices in rural Ireland,” he said.
