Lismore Men’s Shed officially launched the latest addition to their site, a transformed section of what was formerly the derelict Workhouse.
The opening came as part of a range of events attended in west Waterford on Monday by Minister for Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht, Dara Calleary TD.
Located on the grounds of the former workhouse and hospital, the new addition at the Lismore Men’s Shed heritage building is now nearing completion, funded through investment under the Town and Village Renewal Scheme. John Foley, chairman of Lismore Men’s Shed, said it is great to see the opening take place.
