A very busy, but ultimately, successful day for everyone involved in last Sunday’s Fermoy Rowing Club Regatta.

One of the town’s longest running sporting events, club records indicate regattas have been staged in Fermoy for the last 140 years.

Fermoy Regatta has never had problems attracting participants and crews from all over Ireland were in Fermoy early on Sunday morning – some opted to arrive on Saturday.

It was a hectic day for regatta secretary, Paul Kavanagh and his dedicated team – give or take, members were on site for almost 12 hours.
