It was tough going for organisers and the public, who braved the elements to attend last Saturday’s Christmas Market and Santa Experience in the grounds of Ballyvolane House (between Castlelyons and Britway).
Thankfully, Sunday saw a marked improvement as Storm Bert gradually fizzled out. The very elaborate market was promoted as ‘A Taste Of Cork & Waterford’.
There was a wonderful selection of stalls, especially suited to those on the look out for Christmas gifts.
