Kildorrery NS bid farewell to one of its most experienced staff members recently. On October 23, the staff and children said their final ‘slán’ to Mrs Betty O’Connell, a Castletownroche native.
Mrs O’Connell had been teaching in Kildorrery for over eight years and her 35 years carrer was spent in Donegal, Ballyhooly, Ballindangan and Graigue also.
The current restrictions meant that celebrations were different, but nevertheless Mrs O’Connell was given a wonderful send off.
