As Government plans advance to reopen Ireland’s pubs, Avondhu region publicans have raised serious concerns about the lack of clarity on restrictions.
Government officials are set to meet with publicans to thrash out how the pubs will reopen as vintner’s representatives have called on restaurants and bars to open at the same time.
Under the road map for post Covid-19 measures, pubs are not scheduled to reopen until August. But both the Licensed Vintners’ Association (LVA) and Vintners’ Federation of Ireland (VFI) are hoping new plans could see pubs opening from the end of June, along with cafes and restaurants.
But local publicans have found a hole in the idea based around the problem of isolating and small rural pubs.
