Gardai working in The Avondhu region have sent a thank you to the public for their help in controlling the outbreak of the Covid-19 virus.
Superintendent John Deasy has spoken about his team’s efforts to help control the spread of the virus as they carry out patrols across the area.
At one checkpoint this week, gardaí discovered a car load of four people who had travelled from County Meath despite the advice issued from Government on travel restrictions to within a 2km radius.
Superintendent Deasy said that his colleagues had experienced great co-operation from the public and that only a minority of people were ignoring the recommendations from Government.
