Dear Editor,

May I, on behalf of all the parents and children of FACE (Fermoy Action Children’s Education) for children with specific learning difficulties, thank Mary and Paddy Williams and family and staff for a brilliant day spent at the Winter Wonderland Carnival on Friday, December 7. A brilliant day was had by children and parents alike.

We would like to thank them for their most welcome hospitality and set up. We also would like to thank the Fermoy Business Action Group, Avondhu Blackwater Partnership and a special thank you to Mike and Meabh Glavin from The Torten, who supplied hot beverages on the day – it was a great honour to be in the presence of the other special needs groups from all the surrounding areas to see and share the happiness of all the children smiling.

A big thank you to Santa who supplied the gifts for the children and to Mary and staff who supplied the hot food, drinks, pop corn, candy floss, etc., and for the use of the amusements. I would like to thank a great friend of our group, Noel McCarthy, chairman of Fermoy Business Action Group for all the great work in promoting the Winter Wonderland Carnival. Also to our PRO, Cllr Tadhg O’Donovan for all his help in organising our day out. And last but not least a big thank you to all the smiling and happy children who attended on the day.
