Two local students are due to return from NASA United Space School in the University of Houston, Clear Lake, after completing a programme which brings together up to 50 students from 25 different nations to promote an interest in space exploration and the aerospace industry.
St Colman’s College Fermoy student, Liam Kilmartin from Ballynoe and Loreto Secondary School student, Chloe Morrisson, took part in this year’s programme.
Fermoy local, Mary O’Donnell, a former Loreto student who took part in the Space School programme during her school days, is now an Aerodynamics Engineer and joined the students in Houston as a mentor.
