
Music from the world’s top composers is on the menu in the Palace Theatre Fermoy on Wednesday night (12th) next when the eight-piece Chamber Philharmonic Europe make a welcome return.
Formerly Chamber Philharmonic Cologne, the ensemble with soloists Cyrill Gussaroff (trumpet) and Iryna Knauer (violin), will present a programme that looks like this:
Vivaldi’s Concerto for Violin No.4 a minor RV 357 ‘La Stravaganza’; Grieg’s Two Elegiac Melodies op.34, 1) heart wounds 2) last Spring; Ponchielli’s Concerto in F Major, for trumpet and orchestra; Bach’s Violin Concerto In E Major BWV 1042; Faure’s Pavane Op. 50 and Mozart’s Divertimento D Major KV.136..

Founded 2006 in Cologne/Germany, Chamber Philharmonic Europe engages talented musicians from 18 European nations and the outstanding high artistic level was confirmed by many concerts and festivals which the orchestra played throughout the continent as well as from music critics internationally.
The repertoire of the Chamber Philharmonic of Europe ranges from Baroque to modern with the instrumentalists exuding energy, excitement, colour and virtuosic flair in their playing.
The orchestra has made extensive tours to Switzerland, Sweden, Denmark, France, Netherlands, Great Britain and Ireland and look forward to returning to Fermoy on March 12.
