Community rallies in Kilfinane throughout Arctic-like weather

    Limerick’s highest village, Kilfinane, was badly affected by the severe weather, with many suffering the loss of electricity in recent days and in some cases, water too.

    With nine inches of snow falling, it was a community effort in recent days to ‘keep the show on the road’.

    Neither Scoil Pól nor Scoil Fhionáin could reopen after the Christmas holidays, with classes held online for the secondary school students.
