Members of Anglesboro Drama Group were seen to good effect in their local community hall last weekend. Directed by the always creative Jim Keane and assisted by Maurice O’Connor and Aidan Maunsell, some of Limerick’s finest actors, took on 4 short plays: ‘Foreigners’, ‘The Photographer’, ‘Only Two People Should Know’ and ‘From Eden’, the latter by Stephen Jones.

While the first three offerings were light hearted, full of humour and some dodgy jokes, ‘From Eden’, featuring the versatile Eamonn McGrath and the very talented Eimear O’Doherty, went a bit deeper, tackling issues such as loneliness, isolation and mental health. Both performers received a wonderful ovation at the end of the show.

Other stalwarts who showcased their theatrical skills last Friday and Saturday night included: John McGrath, Margaret Ann McGrath, Ronan McDermott, Paul Moriarty and the award winning, Mary Gallahue. Tom McGrath (Cha), Jarlath Kenny (Dino) and Shane Slattery were also very impressive in the John Hank Regan comedy, ‘Only Two People Should Know’.
