The initiative and creativity of a Kilworth artist has resulted in €274,000 being raised for Breakthrough Cancer Research.
The artist concerned, Fiona Turley, has a 12 year association with the Cork-based charity and this relationship has been renewed once again with the launch of her 2016 Christmas cards collection. Eye-catching and distinctive in design, these much sought after cards have fallen through letter boxes all over the world.
According to Orla Dolan of Breakthrough Cancer Research, the cards never fail to evoke the spirit of Christmas.
"The cards are wonderfully attractive and evocative. This year's designs are delightful and we are extremely grateful to Fiona for her continued support and goodwill", Orla said at last Thursday evening's launch in Gallery Crafts.
